Donating Blood
The Red Cross hotline for blood donations is (800) GIVE LIFE. The agency has asked people willing to donate blood first to call and schedule an appointment. Please understand that the Red Cross phone lines are overwhelmed with calls from those who want to help. Please be patient.
Donors must be at least age 17, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be in good general health. Photo or signature ID is required.
The New York Blood Center has announced a blood emergency for the greater New York/New Jersey metropolitan area. Volunteers are asked to visit www.nybloodcenter.org for more information on how to help.
Help for Family and Friends of Victims

The Justice Department's Office of Victims of Crime has established a hotline for friends and family of victims: (800) 331-0075.
Individuals hurt in the attacks can call FEMA for information about assistance: (800) 462-9029.
Investigators Ask for Tips
The FBI has created a Web site, http://www.ifccfbi.gov, and telephone hotline, (800) 331-0075, for information on possible victims.
Both may also be used by people to report information about the terror attacks.
Investigators are asking anyone with video or pictures of people around the World Trade Center at the time of Tuesday's attacks to call: 1 (800) 577-TIPS.
